Loosk like The X Factor runner-up Josh Krajcik is ready to get back into the swing of public life.

First, Chris DeVille of Columbus Alive caught up with Krajcik for a cathartic post-X Factor finale interview. As we kind of guessed, Krajcik’s been keeping himself busy “lounging in Columbus writing songs, spending time with his girlfriend and logging hours on Xbox 360.” Considering how literally decimating the X Factor regimen was, we can’t say we blame the guy for spending a few hours with the console!

But Krajcik’s pretty happy with the silver lining of not winning the five-million-dollar X Factor grand prize: namely, he gets to move at his own pace. “I don’t have to wave the flag,” he said, perhaps referring to winner Melanie Amaro’s already rather booked schedule. And anyway, “$5 million was never the goal. My goal is to win a Grammy someday.”

And Krajcik’s ready to get moving on that front, doubtless to his fans’ eternal elation. “I’m going to make a record, there’s no question,” he told DeVille, but “[i]t’s just with whom and when at this point.” For now, the Ohio native has signed with Front Line Management Group, an affiliate of Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment.  He’s not exactly sure where he’ll be going from there — maybe some collaborative work, maybe over to the U.K.

(For the record, as Examiner reports, talk of a Josh Krajcik X Factor USA tour has fallen through.)

True to form, Krajcik assures his fans that the one thing they can expect from his upcoming album — whenever it arrives — is honesty. “I think that’s what can be successful in this day and age.” Hell with singles, Krajcik says; “[f]or me it’s about an amazing record.”
