X Factor Season 2 boy band Emblem3 barged onto the scene looking like a low-rent LFO, but we’ve solidly fallen in love with this trio of Cali hunks. And on December 12, 2012, after their air-humping, fist-pumping cover of The Beatles’ epic jam “Hey Jude,” Emblem3 finally won over the judges’ world-weary hearts.

Every act in the final four performed not once but twice during the Season 2 semi-finals. Emblem3’s first performance was a reggae-heavy cover of their mom’s favorite song, Peter Frampton’s “Baby I Love Your Way,” but the judges weren’t totally wowed.

But everything changed as soon as our boys hit the stage a second time, gyrating on top of a faux-graffiti wall (SOLD) while performing a cover of “Hey Jude.” As if that wasn’t enough to win us over, the boys then jumped off the wall and started humping the air. SOLD AGAIN.

The judges were equally wowed by Emblem3’s charismatic showing and were quick to show it. L.A. Reid gushed, “You actually are teen heartthrobs like the Beatles.” High praise, sir! Demi Lovato herself was surprised by how much she loved the performance. “You guys have the potential...” She trailed off, before adding, “That was amazing.”

Do you think Emblem3 has what it takes to make it to the very end?
