Two blood-curdling stories have passed our desk, in which two X Factor judges — namely, the ladies — found themselves in mortal danger. And with Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger having had some recent trouble with this kind of thing, we can’t help wondering if there’s a conspiracy afoot, à la Abraham Lincoln.

First, Radar Online reports that police overran Paula Abdul’s house when her alarm started blaring at 2:30 this morning. The front door was open, though Abdul wasn’t home. Fortunately for our groups judge, nothing was taken — indeed, the police reported that there wasn’t even any evidence that the house had been broken into.

What, you’re not impressed? Well how about this, then?

According to Mail Online, Nicole Scherzinger opened up about a terrifying incident in Mexico in which she and choreographer Brian Friedman were held up at gunpoint on a road near Xilitla rainforest. “[T]here were M16s and Berettas!” Scherzinger gasped, while Friedman admitted that “[i]t was the craziest adventure ever!” Authorities think the gunmen were members of “a local gang,” but we know better — surely it was a coterie of disgruntled Drew fans, right?

...Wait, this incident happened in October?! Well, folks, forget it; we’re throwing in the towel. Have a good weekend.
