Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, Simon, and we're shocked you haven't learned your lesson about that, yet. After replacing X Factor judge Cheryl Cole when she had already taped a couple of audition episodes with Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell assumed she'd go back to judging the UK version of the series. When she declined to take up her old post, the boss-man apparently offered her US panel spot back, but she remained indignant.

"She was offered a chance to come back to America, but for certain reasons decided not to. I guess that's what happens when you make reality TV — real things happen," he told TV Line.

As for the rumors that she was fired because she didn't get along with fellow judge
Paula Abdul, Simon pointed out another person on the panel that rather infamously doesn't play well with Paula: "If it was a question of not getting along with Paula, I wouldn't be on the show!" he quipped. Well-stated, Simon.
