The X Factor USA Season 2 will premiere at the end of September 2012, but it's looking like the Simon Cowell-helmed talent competition isn't in danger of a sophomore slump. Show execs are aggressively pursuing big name replacements for ousted judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, as well as fired host Steve Jones— and they're starting with the A List.

Multiple sources report Britney Spears is in continuing negotiations to join the show as a judge for Season 2. A source tells The New York Post, "Talks are still ongoing with Britney, and she is asking for a lot more money, than was originally offered. But producers are confident Britney will realize this is a great opportunity for her to reinvent herself and accept their deal.” Britney reportedly declined the original $10 million offer and is asking for twice that.

Now, George Clooney's girlfriend, Dancing With the Stars veteran and world-renowned wrestler Stacy Keibler is added to the list of names approached by the show. The New York Post has more details: “Stacy Keibler is also in talks to join the show, but her lack of experience in the music business may make her more appropriate as a host. She looks fantastic and has bags of charisma.”

This news comes just days after Glee star Darren Criss declined the X Factor hosting gig due to his hectic schedule.
