Harry Styles is packed with so much talent and personality, it does sort of seem as though he is two people. But no, Harry, of One Direction fame, is not and never was a twin. The eighteen-year-old (born February 18, 1994) is from a village called Holmes Chapel in Chesire, a county in the northwest of England. His father, Des Styles, and his mother, Anne Cox, had a daughter, Harry's sister Gemma, before Harry was born. The couple divorced when Harry was seven. He was interested in music from an early age, and cites both Elvis Presley and The Beatles as influences. Fun fact: when Harry and four other X Factor UK contestants, all of whom had auditioned for the show as solo acts, became a group, at Nicole Scherzinger's suggestion, during the bootcamp portion of the 2010 season of the show, it was Harry, according to Wikipedia, who gave the new boy band its name, "One Direction." To succeed he felt they needed to stay focused and go in one direction. Good thinking, Harry!
