A certain contestant from The X Factor Season 2 just went a big way toward giving her
heart career a break.
Beatrice Miller — the 14-year-old cutie who placed ninth on the show last season — has landed a record deal with Hollywood Records, according to Yahoo! Music.
We think this will be a perfect fit for Beatrice, considering that the Disney-owned record label has been the home for such amazing and youthful talent as Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers, and of course X Factor judge Demi Lovato.
"We are thrilled about the opportunity to contribute the unique resources we have at Hollywood Records and Disney to showcase Beatrice’s incredible talent," says Disney Music Group's president.
Beatrice is the first former contestant to be signed under an arrangement between Hollywood Records and Simon Cowell's Syco Records, which suggest that there may be more lucky contestants who will be joining the label's roster in the not-so-distant future. Fingers crossed!
This is a very promising turn of events for Beatrice, since we were blown away by her voice but felt that mentor Britney Spears didn't quite give her the right tips.
There's no word yet on when the New Jersey teen's debut album will hit stores, but let's hope it's soon!
Frankly, just thinking about how awesome Beatrice's new tunes might be is giving us a heart attack.
