The rumors have been flying all day, with Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones both officially canned from The X Factor. That said, we’ve been scrambling like mad to get confirmation on the exit of one more: namely, the Groups-mentoring Paula Abdul.

Abdul and her people (not to mention Fox) have been pretty closed-mouthed about the situation, but now we finally have the news... and...

Fox spokespeople have confirmed Nicole Scherzinger won't be asked to return to The X Factor as a judge (or host) in Season 2. Widely blamed as the reason much-loved Season 1 contestant Rachel Crow was eliminated before her time and much derided for her seeing disinterest in the talent she was mentoring, it seemed only a matter of time.

So, Steve Jones out, Nicole Scherzinger out. Who will...

The final night on The X Factor USA! The Top Three performed Christmas carols, Justin Bieber sang with Stevie Wonder and danced with Drew Ryniewicz. Then... Steve Jones announced the end of the journey for... Chris Rene.

Young Homie was gracious in defeat wishing Melanie Amaro and Josh Krajcik well.
