When X Factor hopeful Pat Ford confessed that he wanted to wear blonde wig to his audition in front of his “sister” Britney Spears, we worried. Then in a moment of clarity he realized that dressing up like Britney might be “too creepy ” — and we basked in the solitary ray of hope for this guy’s sanity. However, when we dug through our massive singing talent show archives and found footage of a 17-year-old Pat trainwrecking his way through “Womanizer” in an American Idol auditions back in 2009, it was clear that his delusions of grandeur are long-standing and profound.

We’re glad that he finally got to stand face-to-face with “God” (a.k.a. Britney), but we’re hoping he takes everyone’s advice and retires from performing her songs permanently.
