Zombieland’s TV Pilot Writer Slams Fans for Show Not Getting Picked Up
Is someone in need of brains?
Rhett Reese — who co-wrote the 2009 film Zombieland along with the recent TV pilot for Amazon — is not pleased with the movie's fans.
Rhett informed his Twitter followers that the show was not picked up by Amazon, and he's blaming this on a number of negative comments that the show got from viewers.
He tweeted that the show “will not be moving forward on Amazon. Sad for everyone involved.”
"I'll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans," he added. "You guys successfully hated it out of existence."
The pilot was available to watch on Amazon, along with a number of other pilots. The pilots with the most votes are now be turned into full series.
Apparently, Zombieland received some hate, but it also received more five-star reviews than one-star, two-star, and three-star reviews combined. So maybe it's not actually the fans' fault.
"Anyway, we did our best, and we're very proud of our team," Rhett continues.
So are you bummed about the showing not moving forward? Or are you one of those hard-to-please fans whom Rhett was referring to?
